WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL: HORNETS SWEEP MT. SAC IN THREE SETS

The Hornet women's volleyball team traveled to Mt. San Antonio College on Wednesday evening for their sixth match of the season. In just three sets, the Hornets walked away with their third match win of 2019, bringing them back to .500 with a 3-3 record.

The first set proved to be the closest of the night between the two teams, with Fullerton narrowly edging the Mounties by a score of 25-22. The team only looked better as the night went on.

The second set proved to be less of a challenge as the Hornets won by a score of 25-17, giving themselves a little more breathing room in the match by going up two sets to none.

The third set was icing on the cake for the Hornets as they won 25-16, their largest win of all three on the night, completing the sweep of the Mounties and coming back home with another win on the young season.

Saylor Frew (11), Faith Webb (8), and Samaria Longstreet (7) led the Hornets in kills, combining for 26 of the team's 37 during the match.

Karen Delgadillo posted up 30 of the team's 35 assists.

Priscilla Gutierrez (15) and Hannah Tobin (10) led the team in digs, combining for 25 of the team's 47 on the night.

Up Next: The Hornets will be playing their next two games at home. Friday, September 13th, they take on Santa Monica at 6:00 pm. Following that game they will be facing Long Beach on Wednesday, September 18th at 6:00 pm.
