WOMEN’S VOLLEYBALL: BACK-TO-BACK CONFERENCE WINS FOR HORNETS

The Hornet volleyball team traveled to Santiago Canyon College on Wednesday, October 2, for an important conference game on the road.

Coming off wins in their last two matches against Orange Coast and in the Grossmont Classic, the Hornets were looking to ride the wave and keep the winning streak going against the Hawks.

The first game proved to be the biggest challenge of the night for Fullerton, as they edged out Santiago Canyon by a score of 25-21. After that, the Hornets took charge and never looked back.

Game two heavily favored the Hornets as they continued to outperform the Hawks, this time winning by a score of 25-14.

The third and final game was once again all Fullerton as they put the match away by a score of 25-18, pushing the Hornets to their third win in a row and their second conference win in a row.

Saylor Frew (13), Samaria Longstreet (10), and Faith Webb (7) led the team in kills.

Karen Delgadillo put up 30 of the team's 32 assists on the day.

Priscilla Gutierrez (10), Frew (10), Delgadillo (9), and Webb (8) led the team in digs.

The team is now 7-6 overall and 2-1 in conference play.

Up Next: The Hornets will travel to OEC rival Cypress College on Friday, October 4th for an important match at 6:00pm. The team will be in search of their 4th win in a row.
