WOMEN'S WATER POLO: COMING TOGETHER AT THE RIGHT TIME

The No. 1 team in the state, FC proved why they are in the top spot winning the Battle at the Beach Tournament hosted by Long Beach City College.

It was not an easy task for the Hornets this past weekend as they knocked off No. 10 LA Valley 16-7, No. 5 Citrus 18-7, No. 4 Long Beach 15-12, and No. 3 Riverside 10-6.

The championship game came down to two Orange Empire Conference teams in Fullerton and Riverside. In the third, Fullerton silenced Riverside by hanging 2 unanswered goals doubling their lead at 8-4. FC kept pace with the Tigers in the fourth with a suffocating defense to hold on for the win. Goalie Tatiana Cava had a busy day with 6 saves for the Hornets with 6 goals against.
