WOMEN'S X COUNTRY: SOCAL CHAMPIONSHIPS

The FC women's cross country team placed 5th out of 27 teams at the SoCal Championships held at Santa Clarita's Central Park on Friday.

Running their closest race of the season, the Lady Hornets turned a few heads with a 43 second gap from 1 to 5 FC runners.

"Our women are a tenacious group that won't give up.  They work hard every day, and it shows at big events like this one today", Coach Gina Bevec.

Qualifying for state run in Fresno are Maegan Garritson, Daisy Esparza, Elena Estrada, Krystal Martinez, Taylor Morico, Daniela Rubio and Diana Ortega.
