WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY: BRUBAKER CLASSIC

A traditional Santa Ana wind prevailed over the Brubaker Classic held at Irvine Park on Friday with the Hornets running quality individual races.

"The ladies have been working together running together and finding out more about themselves with every race.  They ran well at Central Park a few weeks ago and continued on with their close running ability at Cerritos Classic Invitational last week", Hornet Head Coach Gina Bevec.

Diana Vazquez continues to run strong as Fullerton's No. 1 competitor finishing the race with a time of 22:47. Jordan Montgomery (24:14) was one minute and twenty-seven seconds behind her in this race. Lorena Tapia Ceballos (24:22) trailed a click behind Montgomery eight seconds later to cross her finish line. Diana Muneton (24:41) was finished 19 seconds later.

A majority of the Hornets were under the weather this week, and still managed to conquer the Santa Ana winds the best they could with the considering the conditions.

"Our grouping will help us as we embark in to our next stage of our season gearing up for the conference championships", claimed Bevec.

Up Next: The Mount San Antonio College Invitational will take place on Friday, October 18th in Walnut. The ladies will race at 10:00 am.
