FOOTBALL: HOUSTON HAS BIG NIGHT FOR WESTERN ILLINOIS

Former Hornet Dennis Houston had a big-time game Thursday night with 12 catches playing for Western Illinois.

Playing against Ball State on the road last night, Houston caught 12 passes for 237 yards and had 2 touchdowns. The Leathernecks may have lost the game 31-21, but they found a gem in Houston.

Houston, from Earl Warren High in San Antonio, Texas, played for Fullerton College in 2018 catching 26 passes for 360 yards and 3 TDs.

Also playing in the game for Ball State was former Hornet defensive lineman Josh Tarango, who contributed a tackle in the game. While playing with the Hornets, Josh was the 2019 SCFA Defensive Player of the Year.

FC's 2018 SCFA Defensive Player of the Year Joey Noble also played last night for New Mexico accumulating 3 tackles and a sack against San Jose State.

Up Next: Santa Ana College announced that they will not be able to play their scheduled game at Fullerton on Saturday September 4th due to COVID-19 issues. This week Fullerton will finally get to play some football on Saturday, September 11th when they travel to Cerritos College. Kickoff is at 6:00 pm.
