24TH ACADEMIC ATHLETIC AWARDS

It was a busy year filled with many individual accomplishments and team successes as the Fullerton College Athletics Department welcomed student-athletes, parents, faculty, and administration into the Hornets Nest on Thursday afternoon for the 24th Academic Athletic Awards honoring excellence in academics and athletic achievement.
HORNETS EARN ALL-AMERICAN / ALL-STATE HONORS

The All-American and All-State teams were announced this week by the California Community College Football Coaches Association.
FALLING SHORT IN THE SCFA CHAMPIONSHIP GAME

The Hornets saw their successful 2022 season end on Saturday afternoon, falling 31-17 to Riverside City College in the SCFA title game.

The No. 2 seed Hornet football squad will be playing in the Southern California Regional Championship after defeating No. 3 Mt. San Antonio College 45-41 in a shootout at Lebard Stadium Saturday night.

Wining the Southern Conference title has its perks as many FC footballers earned SCFA All-Southern Conference honors that include sophomore tailback Tyrell Green Jr. getting tabbed as the Offensive MVP, and Head Coach Garrett Campbell being named the Coach of the Year.

The No. 5 Hornets completed the 2022 regular season at home Saturday night becoming the SCFA Southern Conference Champions after dismantling No. 4 Golden West College 26-6.

The No. 5 in state Fullerton College football team took a trip down to Saddleback College Saturday night and held off the Bobcats 34-32.

No. 4 Fullerton took on No. 10 San Diego Mesa at home Saturday night for a Southern Conference showdown and beat the Olympians 17-7.
