HORNETS EARN ALL-AMERICAN / ALL-STATE HONORS

The All-American and All-State teams were announced this week by the California Community College Football Coaches Association. 

Freshman linebacker Jeremiah McNeeley is the lone Hornet to earn 1st Team All-America honors. In 11 games this season, McNeeley racked up 62 tackles (second on the team), with a sack, interception, and a fumble return for a touchdown. McNeeley was also named to the All-State Region III team. 

There are seven others that earned All-State Region III honors. 

A big athletic target, freshman tight end Cameron Woods had 12 receptions for 243 yards and 5 touchdowns. 

Sophomore center William Pieroni anchored down the offensive line that led the Hornets to 2,427 total rushing yards. 

Sophomore running back Tyrell Greene Jr. was the SCFA Southern Conference Offensive MVP rushing for 1,204 yards, which is the 6th best season finish in school history. Greene also had 8 touchdowns with 10 catches for 61 yards and a TD reception. 

Playing on the defensive line, sophomore Bryce Dunnuck played a key role on the FC defense accumulating 33 tackles and 6 sacks.  

With a nose for the ball, sophomore defensive back Salen Streater led the Hornets with 4 interceptions, had 34 tackles, 4 breakups, 1 forced fumble, and a fumble recovery. 

A sophomore, Michael Love stood out as a quick and talented kick returner with 23 returns for 634 yards. His longest of the season was 82 yards against Cerritos College. 

When a big defensive play on 3rd or 4th down was needed, sophomore Maximus Ahoia always found a way to make play. Ahoia ended the season with 50 tackles with 1 interception. He also led the team with 11 breakups.
