TWO HORNET ALL-AMERICANS & SIX ALL-STATE

The  JC Athletic Bureau California Community College Football Coaches Association released the All-American and All-State teams on Tuesday with two Hornet defenders CJ Nesmith and Branson Tita-Nwa earning All-American honors.

A sophomore defensive lineman, CJ Nesmith played an integral role on a defensive unit that had 796 tackles and 48 sacks. Geared with a very high motor Nesmith had 31 tackles and 7 sacks in 9 games this past season. He was also earned 1st Team All-State honors for his efforts.

Sophomore defensive back Branson Tita-Nwa was a force to be reckoned with this past season accumulating 70 tackles in 10 games played. He also had 3 sacks and 4 interceptions. Tita-Nwa was also selected as the All-State Defensive Player of the Year along with Golden West's Marquis Brown.

Also earning 1st Team All-State honors were Erik Hehl, Chris Harm, Jeremiah McNeeley, and Tyan Milton.

A strong defensive lineman, sophomore Erik Hehl had 33 tackles and 5.5 sacks. He ends his career at Fullerton with 15 career sacks.

Sophomore linebacker Chris Harm racked up 48 tackles and 2.5 sacks. An aggressive footballer that quickly gets to the ball, Harm wraps up his time at FC with 113 career tackles.

Jeremiah McNeeley was a 1st Team All-American last season and earned a second 1st Team All-State nod this season. He led the team in tackles with 76 and had 3.5 sacks. He has 138 career tackles for the Hornets.

Sophomore defensive back Tyan Milton had 22 tackles, 3 picks, and 5 breakups this past season. 

Congratulations to all these student-athletes as their hard work and play on the field earned back-to-back conference titles, while many will be signing soon with four-year colleges.
