OEC CO-CHAMP HORNETS AND TIGERS SHARE BULK OF HONORS

Fullerton and Riverside City College brought home a sizable portion of the Orange Empire Conference honors after winning a share of the conference title.

The conference MVP's were Chazz Hutchison of Fullerton College and Amir Davis of Riverside City College. A force in the paint, the 6-9 Hutchison averaging 11.3 points, brought down 7.2 rpg, and had 21 blocked shots. Davis, a 1st team All-OEC pick in 2020, averaged 11.5 points a game this season along with 8 rpg.

The Offensive Player of the Year honor went Saddleback's Atiba Taylor, who led in conference-play with 19.1 points a game. The Defensive Player of the Year nod went to RCC's Amir Davis, who collected 21 blocks and 41 steals.

Coaches Perry Webster (Fullerton) and Phil Matthews (Riverside City) shared the Coach of the Year honors.

SoCal Regionals: Six Orange Empire Conference teams qualified for the CCCAA Southern California Regionals. Making it to the postseason were No. 1 seed Fullerton (24-3 overall), No. 5 Santiago Canyon (22-5), No. 6 Riverside City (22-6), No. 13 Irvine Valley (18-10), No. 17 Saddleback (17-11), and No. 19 Cypress (16-12).
