TWO BASKETBALL HORNETS SIGN

TWO BASKETBALL HORNETS SIGN

With all of the accolades of winning a state title, the Hornet ballers are beginning to attract the attention of many four-year colleges.

Two Hornets signed over the weekend in Javon Jones and Kobe Newton. Jones committed to Lewis-Clark State, while Newton will study and play at the University of Wyoming.

A sophomore guard/forward that can score from anywhere on the floor, Javon Jones averaged 8.5 points a game and averaged 3.4 rebounds a game. Javon is also a strong defender and will be an asset to the Warriors.

Kobe Newton has been called an assassin on the court as his shooting skills can be deadly for opposing teams. A sophomore guard averaging a team-high 13.7 ppg, Newton can shoot the lights out, while locking up anyone on defense (28 steals). A three-point threat, Newton will be a welcomed addition to Wyoming going 90-233 (38.6%) from beyond the arc.

Stay tuned as more Hornets will be signing soon.
