NEWMAN JR. TO LA TECH

The Hornet basketball team had another star player sign with a four-year college over the weekend in Sean Newman Jr.

The Orange Empire Conference MVP accepted a scholarship with Louisiana Tech University.

The versatile guard led the Hornets to an Orange Empire Conference title and CCCAA State championship this past season averaging 13.2 points, 5.8 assists, and 4 rebounds a game.

An All-State selection, Newman Jr will be a welcome addition to LA Tech that can utilize his lockdown defensive skill and creative shooting ability.

With Javon Jones (Lewis-Clark State) and Kobe Newton (Wyoming) signing deals last week, Sean Newman Jr. marks the third player to sign off of the 2023 State Championship team. Look for more players to sign soon.
