SHAQ TAKES MANHATTAN UNIVERSITY

Orange Empire Conference Offensive Player of the Year Shaquil Bender committed to Manhattan University.

Bender played a key role in the Hornet's success on the court this season helping the team to a its second-best season in the program's history with a 32-1 record. He was voted as the State Tournament MVP after leading FC to another CCCAA State Title with 23 points in the title game vs. San Francisco. In 32 games played, Shaquil averaged 13.6 points per game, 3.1 rebounds, and 1.3 assists. He was second on the team in three-pointers hitting 47.1% and had 38 steals.
