NO. 1 SEED IN THE SOUTH!

The Hornets have locked down the No. 1 seed in the SoCal Regional playoffs after another successful season!

Fullerton will host throughout the regionals as the road to the 3C2A State Tournament runs through the Hornets Nest. It was determined at the coaches meeting held today that FC fit the criteria needed (OEC champs, quality record with wins against quality teams). The Hornets have been ranked in the top five throughout the season ultimately finishing as the No. 2 team in the state rankings just under the No. 1 team from the north in West Valley College.

This is the third straight season for Fullerton landing the No. 1 seed. It is the fifth time in the last eight seasons. Prior to Perry Webster's coaching era, the last time FC was the No. 1 seed was in 2006 under Coach Dieter Horton undefeated squad.

Up Next: No. 1 seeded in the south Fullerton (24-4 overall) will play the winner of round one's matchup (Wed., Feb. 28) between No. 17 MiraCosta and No. 16 Cerritos at the Hornets Nest on Saturday, March 2nd at 7:00 pm. Come out and support your Hornets for this big playoff game!
