NO. 9 MT. SAN JACINTO COMES TO THE NEST FOR RD. 3 SATURDAY NIGHT

Last Saturday night, No. 9 seeded Mt. San Jacinto College stunned No. 7 Moorpark College 94-86 setting up Round 3 of the 3C2A SoCal Regionals between the Eagles and No. 1 Hornets. 

The Mt. Jacinto Eagles have had a very successful season with an impressive 27-3 overall record. The Eagles just missed an opportunity to claim the Inland Empire Athletic Conference title after falling to Chaffey College 110-91 in the end of the season IEAC tournament. Despite the loss, Mt. San Jacinto is a very dangerous team that has been ranked throughout the season in the top 10 in CCCMBCA's state rankings.

Saturday night's game between the Eagles and Hornets will be the first since the 2021-22 season when FC knocked off Mt. San Jacinto 73-55. The first time the two teams met was back on December 22, 1968- an 84-76 win for FC.

Up Next: The No. 1 Hornets (25-4 overall) will host Round 3 of the SoCal Regionals on Saturday, March 9th at 6:00 pm when the No. 9 Eagles of Mt. San Jacinto come to the Nest. The winner of this big playoff game will move on to the 3C2A State Tournament at Mt. San Antonio College March 15-17.
