FORCING PIRATES TO WALK THE BLANK

The No. 1 Hornets had a Friday night game under the lights of Sherbeck Field on Friday and blanked the Orange Coast College Pirates 2-0.

Fullerton is off to its best start in since the 2018 season (16-2-2) with a 14-1-1 overall record. Their only blemish a 3-3 tie against OEC rival Irvine Valley College.

Against Orange Coast, FC took a 1-0 lead at the 19:26 mark on an unassisted goal by Cesar Marquez.

Both teams went back and forth for the remainder of the game challenging one another, but in the final minute of the match, Juan Luis Quintana sealed the contest with an unassisted goal.

Ryan Moreno-Rojas got the nod in the goalie box and played a strong game with 5 saves for his 2nd shutout on the season.

Up Next: No. 1 Fullerton (14-1-1 overall, 7-0-1) will take on Irvine Valley College on the road on Tuesday, October 24th at 3:00 pm.
