OEC AWARDS FOR THE CHAMPS!

For the second year in a row, Misael Gonzalez was tabbed as the Orange Empire Conference MVP as well as seven Hornets earning All-OEC honors.

Last season, Gonzalez was the first player in the program's history to earn the OEC MVP, and now he becomes the first player to pull off back-to-back MVP seasons. A local product out of Fullerton Union High School, Misael led the conference with 24 total goals and is currently second in the state. He is also tied for the team lead in assists with 7. Gonzalez has been a complete force on the field recently earning a scholarship at UC Irvine.

For the fourth time in five seasons, FC head coach Greg Aviles was tabbed as the Orange Empire Conference Coach of the Year after earning four conference titles since he took over the program in 2016.

Four Hornets earned 1st Team All-OEC honors in Angel Sevillano, Evan Yoell, Garrett Eikermann, and Hayden Kenny. Making 1st team for the second time, Sevillano contributed 3 goals working as the team's best defender this season. Another strong defender, Yoell kept the Hornet defense intact while scoring 1 goal. Eikermann had 2 assists, while Hayden Kenny tied the team in assists (7) scoring a team second-best 5 goals.

Earning 2nd Team All-OEC were Jonathan Ortiz, Mario Floriano, and Cesar Marquez. Ortiz and Floriano shared the goalie position equally locking down a combination of 9 shutouts out of 22 regular-season games played. Marquez played a key role for the Hornets scoring 4 goals with 1 assist.

All-State and All-Region honors were also given out the coaches meeting with Misael Gonzalez and Angel Sevillano both earning the honors. They were also selections last season. The Hornet coaching staff was also honored as the Regional Staff of the Year.
