CROSS COUNTRY: OEC CHAMPIONSHIPS

The Hornets hosted the Orange Empire Conference Championships today at Buena Park's Ralph B. Clark Regional Park.

It was an unusually warm morning for this time of year, however it made for excellent running conditions as both the men and women's teams for Riverside City College brought home the championship trophy. The Tigers also had the top individual runners of the day with Briana Rodriguez winning it for the ladies (20:53.2), while Abel Ramos won it for the men (21:55.8).

The Fullerton men's team finished 6th overall with Ivan Vargas leading the pack with a 13th-place finish (22:56.5) out of 68 runners.

Rounding out the rest for the Hornet men were Cyrus Burton at 40th with a finish at 24:54.9, Orion Chavatipon 58th at 27:33.1, Trent Snyder 59th at 28:06.6, Isaac Olivas 64th at 30:17.4, and Jack Martinez 65th at 31:01.7.

For the Fullerton women, two runners in Ella Hesse and Chloe Serventi competed. Hesse finished in 27th at 32:28.4, while Serventi was 28th at 33:13.2.
