HORNETS EDGED BY DONS

FC dropped their second straight this week after losing at Santa Ana College 4-2 in an OEC match-up. College of the Canyons beat Fullerton 12-0 on Tuesday in a non-conference game. The Hornets grabbed the first lead of the game on a solo home run by Shaylynn Chapman with two outs in the first inning.

Following the completion of the 2013 season, the Orange Empire Conference softball head coaches selected the All-Orange Empire Conference Team. FC softball's lone sophomore Nicole Chapman made the team. Chapman (Orange Lutheran HS) was selected 2nd Team All-OEC hitting .398, with 39 hits, 26 RBI's, 20 runs, and 2 stolen bases.

The Hornets pull off a dramatic come-from-behind victory over the Gauchos 5-4 at home on Tuesday. The Fullerton coaching staff recognized the sophomores for both teams by giving them flowers and recognition before the game. It would be the last time that FC players Dani Applerose and Andrea Graves play on Hornet Field.
TWO WINS IN A DAY

After losing on the road yesterday 19-0 to Riverside City College, the Lady Hornets took it out on Orange Coast College today by beating the Pirates 19-0 at home. Before the game started, FC and OCC had to finish the game from last February 26th that had to be called due to darkness in the top of 8th inning. Up 14-9, the Hornets needed two outs to finish the game. FC pitcher Alyssa Felipe walked the first batter and the game quickly ended as OCC hit into a double play giving Fullerton the win.
MERCY FOR THE FIRST WIN OF THE SEASON

Fullerton College enforced the mercy rule on Chaffey College Tuesday beating the Panthers 12-1 at home. The Hornets scored a run in the bottom of the first inning, 2 more in the third, and then exploded for 9 run in the fourth to lock up the win.
SEASON OPENER
January 30, 2013
Fullerton opened the season with a close one falling at home to Palomar College 5-4. Palomar went up early scoring 4 runs in the second inning while FC left 2 stranded.
