ALL-OEC SELECTIONS & A PLAYOFF BERTH
As the FC softball team prepares for the opening round of the Southern California Regional Playoffs, six Hornet softballers earned All-Orange Empire Conference honors.
Earning 1st Team All-OEC was freshman catcher Casey Dufrene, who led the Hornets in hits with 49. In 42 games played thus far, Dufrene has a .386 batting average, 22 RBI, 18 runs, and had 10 doubles. From behind the dish, Casey threw out 8 runners and has 182 put-outs.
Up Next: No. 13 seed Fullerton College (20-20 overall) will play a best-of-three series in the SoCal Regionals at No. 5 Long Beach City College beginning this Friday, May 6th at 2:00 pm. The second game will be Saturday May 7th at Long Beach City at noon. If needed, game three will be at 2:00 pm. The complete SoCal Regional Bracket.
