ALL-SOCAL & ALL-STATE HORNETS

The 3CFCA announced the All-Southern California and All-State teams on Tuesday with Meah Almaraz and Allyson Fuentes earning the honors.

Sophomore Meah Almaraz earned All-SoCal honors by the California Community College Fastpitch Coaches Association. A recent 1st Team All-Orange Empire Conference selection at first base, Almaraz batted .336, had 41 hits, 17 doubles, 28 RBI, 12 runs, and 2 home runs.

Recently voted as the OEC Pitcher of the Year, freshman Allyson Fuentes got the nod by the 3CFCA as a 1st Team All-State selection. In 33 appearances thus far, Fuentes has tossed 167 innings, with 19 wins, 8 losses, 36 walks, 112 K's, and an impressive 1.80 ERA. 

Up Next: The No. 5 Hornets host No. 12 College of the Canyons this Friday, May 5th to open the 1st Round of the SoCal Regional Playoffs. The first pitch goes out at 2:00 pm.
