HORNETS LOCK IN ON ALL-SOCAL & ALL-STATE AWARDS

The 3CFCA announced the All-Southern California and All-State teams over the weekend with four Hornets, including the coaching staff, earning the top honors.

Recently tabbed as the Orange Empire Conference MVP, Jordan Elias was named to the All-State team as the South's Player of the Year. Elias is currently hitting .485 (4th in state) with 64 hits, 42 runs, 25 RBI, and 17 stolen bases.

Freshman Macy Brandl was voted to the All-State team as the South's Pitcher of the Year. She has been outstanding this season with a 1.08 ERA and currently has a 20-2 overall record. In a 142.1 innings pitched, Macy has 152 Ks and 31 walks.

Sophomore Allyson Fuentes earned her second nod to the All-State team with a 1.46 ERA and 16-2 overall record this season. In 124.2 innings pitched, Fuentes has 92 Ks with 15 walks.

Co-head coaches Crystal Aguirre and Marian "Speedy" Mendoza were selected as the South's Coaches of the Year. This is the second time around for the two coaches, who earned the honor in 2019.

Earning 1st Team All-Southern California honors was sophomore Haley Garcia. Haley is batting .439 with 54 hits, 35 runs, 28 RBI, and 16 stolen bases.
