STORMY NIGHT

In the last non-conference game of the season, the Hornets took one on the chin at home on a rainy Wednesday night against Long Beach City College 82-49.

The two teams met earlier this season at the LA Valley College Tournament where the Vikings won 86-57.

Fullerton had a hard time stopping the Viking offense in the opening minutes of the game falling behind 14-0. Long Beach did not let up pushing its lead to 44-17 by halftime. The Hornets were out-swarmed on the court as LBCC held its host to 13.9% shooting, while the Vikings hit 50% of their field goals.

The Hornets tried to recover in the second half, but Long Beach proved to be too much handing FC its worst loss of the season.

Only one player scored in double-digits for Fullerton in Shanise Ho with 10 points. Bri Landeros managed 7 points, while Tia Jaquias, Toni Ballestero, and Jasmine Arnold followed with 6 points each.

Up Next: Fullerton (9-7 overall) will open Orange Empire Conference-play this Friday night (Jan. 6) at No. 2 Orange Coast College. Tipoff is at 5:00 pm.
