WOMEN'S GOLF: HORNETS END A FINE SEASON AT STATE

The Orange Empire dominated the state championships held at Morro Bay GC. Out of the hundreds of golfers across the state, COD won the team championship and Leleaga Meredith of IVC captured the individual title.

Assisting in this command performance were FC's own Kacy Kaichi and Tiffany Kohyama who finished 15th and 16th respectively in the individual competition.

A quick recap of the golf season shows FC finishing 3rd in regular season conference play and second place in the conference championships. The team ended their season with a fourth place finish in the state regional playoffs.

Individually, Kacy and Tiffany earned 1st team all-conference honors, and Jesse Giese was named to the second team. The golf team finished the season with a 71-25 record.

In his first season as the Hornets head coach, John Winek produced a fine team this season keeping Fullerton among the ranks as one of the top teams in California.

"Congratulations ladies on a splendid season. You did yourselves and your school proud", Coach Winek.
