W. GOLF: FC'S GUTIERREZ TAKES TOP SPOT
As the sun beat down on the Hornets at Palm Desert's Ironwood Golf Course, Chelsey Gutierrez beat the heat sharing to top score of the day.
College of the Desert hosted the second OEC match of the season on Wednesday with Gutierrez and Orange Coast College's Meah Collins both leading the day shooting a 76.
Finishing just behind Gutierrez and Meah were Saddleback's Nicole Whipple (77), Cuyamaca's Mary Damian (79), and Sabrina Ladd (80).
For the team finishes, Saddleback won it with a score of 321, Orange Coast took second (345), Cuyamaca placed third (353). Other team finishes: College of the Desert (384), Mt. San Antonio (400), Mt. San Jacinto (408), and Fullerton (453).
