FC CLIMBING CLOSER

Fullerton College Climbs Closer in Cuyamaca Coyote Classic at Cottonwood Country Club.

Battling a persistent onshore flow in the shadow of the City of San Diego, Fullerton College Golf's 345 (78-78-96-93) stood steadfast in the brisk breeze and The Hornets sidled to a solid second to Mt. San Antonio's insurmountable summit of 337 (89-80-86-82) strokes at Cottonwood.

Despite reigning California Community College Athletic Association (3C2A) State Champion, Cathilyn Lee and-- up-and-coming first-year phenom--Sophia Miller, both tying for second in spinning to matching 78's, it was not sufficient to overcome the juggernaut from Walnut, Calif. whose 3rd and 4th place scores outpaced Viddhi Sanghavi's 93 and Rhea Sigur's 96.

Up Next: The Hornets will need to channel their inner Henry V and stiffen the sinews, summon up the blood and disguise fair nature with hard-favoured ragein order to battle both the competition and the heat, at Ironwood Country Club in Palm Desert on Wednesday, 20 September at 8:30 am.
