MILLER LEADS THE OEC CHAMPIONSHIPS

The Hornets placed second overall at the Orange Empire Conference Championships last week at Temecula Creek.

FC's Sophia Miller was the two-day event champion shooting 72 and 74. Last season's OEC and State champion Cathilyn Lee placed 4th overall shooting 80 and 81.

On day one Monday, Mt. SAC claimed the team title carding a score of 345, 12 strokes ahead of runner-up Fullerton College's 357. On Wednesday, the Mounties continued to roll with another 6-0 score after shooting a 312, 35 shots ahead of the runner-up Hornets.

The 2023 Orange Empire Conference season champion is Kianna Glossner of Cuyamaca, who average on the season was 72.
