The Hornets had to play a makeup game on Monday at home against Orange Coast College due to lightning in the area last Tuesday and then went on to win big 4-1.
The game was originally played last Tuesday, October 11th with Fullerton up 2-0 when the game was stopped in the 63rd minute. Since the game was halted before the 70th minute of play, the game had to be re-played from the start all over.
FC got on the board in just the 3rd minute of play thanks to a goal by Auburn Burnett with the assist by Izabelle Garcia.
In the 12th minute, Burnett and Garcia switched roles for the second goal of the game.
Lizeth Garcia made it 3-0 in the 19th minute with the assist coming from Izabelle Garcia.
Orange Coast got on the board in the 46th minute, but FC maintained control of the match even punching in another goal in the 89th minute; an unassisted shot by Brianna Carillo.
Hornet goalie Victoria Saldana got the win allowing only a goal and had 1 save.
Up Next: Fullerton (4-8 overall, 2-4 OEC) plays at Santa Ana College today (Oct. 18) at 3:00 pm for another Orange Empire Conference match.
