OEC TRACK & FIELD CHAMPIONSHIPS
Fullerton College hosted the 2023 Orange Empire Conference Track & Field Championships last weekend and had eleven athletes qualify for the SoCal Regionals.
Finishing in fifth place overall, the women's team fared well with 11 Hornets making it to the SoCal Regional Championships. The following athletes will be competing in their respective events: Danielle Cervantes - 800M, Presli Dillon - 400M H, Hailey Johnson - 200M, Lilyanna Marquez - 100M, 200M, Malila Miranda - Hammer, Sophia Nagao - 100M, 200M, Madyson Rodriguez - Javelin, Victoria Saldana - Discus, Jocelyn Shuler - Long Jump, Triple Jump, High Jump, and Alexandra Turner - 800M.
In addition, both relay teams for FC qualified in the 400M and 1600M. The 400M Relay team of Hailey Johnson, Lilyanna Marquez, Presli Dillon, and Sophia Nagao finished with a time of 51.42, while the 1600M Relay team of Sophia Nagao, Danielle Cervantes, Hailey Johnson, and Emma Greene turned in a season-best time of 4:18.61.
