The Hornets made a statement this past weekend whipping through all four teams from NorCal at the Cuesta College Tournament.
On Friday, FC played against the Tournament host beating the Cougars 17-6. Leading the way for FC was Nikki Salerno with 5 goals. Carmen Liberto added 3 goals, while Kate De La Mora, Neida Torres, and Jordyn Lughart powered in 2 goals each.
In the second game of the day, Fullerton knocked off Sierra College 18-5. Jordyn Lughart was the goal leader in this one with 3 goals. Carmen Liberto, Nikki Salerno, Sophia Martinez, and Kate De La Mora chipped in with 2 goals each.
Saturday's games saw the Hornets defeating American River 15-4 and Modesto 19-4. The goal leaders in the American River game were Sophia Martinez (4) and Neida Torres (4). Goal leaders against Modesto were Adrianna Wong (3), Sophia Martinez (3), Alexandra Haluska (3), and Carmen Liberto (3).
Goalie Alex Airitam along with some spot duty from Kate De La Mora and Adrianna Wong held all four opponents to a total of 19 goals, while the FC offense put up a total of 69 goals
Up Next: FC (12-1 overall, 1-0 OEC) play at home on Wednesday, October 5th against OEC rival Golden West College at 3:00 pm.
