TWO ATHLETES NAMED STUDENTS OF DISTINCTION

FC athletes Lael Cardinal and Noel Dominguez who were both tabbed as Students of Distinction in the Competitive Achievement category last Friday evening.

Cardinal played on the Hornet tennis team the past two years while maintaining a 4.0 GPA and intends on walking this spring at the FC graduation ceremonies at the ripe age of sixteen years of age. She plans on pursing a Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology and then move on to medical school.

Dominguez was on the track and field team in 2016 and 2017 competing in the discuss, hammer, javelin, and shot put. He was instrumental in raising funds with the UNICEF Fullerton College club and worked as a Student Activities assistant. After graduating this spring, Dominguez will attend Cal State Fullerton and begin his journey of becoming a professional actor.

Recipients were selected through a nomination process involving faculty, staff, and fellow students. The awards are divided into four achievement categories: Academic, Competitive, Personal and Service. 

This is Fullerton College's highest honor that began in 1957.
