ROLLIN' DEEP: The Hornets traveled to Golden West College on Thursday and rolled the Rustlers 10-0.
Fullerton (13-6, 5-2) continues to impress this season as they added another Orange Empire Conference win on the road Thursday over Golden West (10-10, 3-4).
Starting pitcher Troy Mulcahey earned his first win on the season throwing 6 shutout innings. He allowed only 3 hits, 5 walks, and had 8 strikeouts on the day. RP Ryan Romero went 2 innings with 1 hit and 1 walk. Austin Sweet worked a hitless inning to wrap up the shutout win.
As a team, FC accumulated 11 hits as CF Ryan Joyce tabbed 3 of them with 4 RBIs and a run. RF Uriel Salinas had 2 hits with 3 runs and SP Mulcahey collected 2 hits with a RBI and a run. Hits were also had by3B Erik Lewis (run, RBI), SS Jose Rojas, C Paul Frias (RBI), and 1B Garrett Donohoe (2 runs).
