BASEBALL: SNAPPED

The FC baseball squad snapped a nine-game losing streak at home Tuesday afternoon defeating Compton 12-4.

It was a needed win for a talented team that has fallen on tough times lately.

Compton scored the game's first run in the second, but Fullerton snatched the lead in the bottom of two scoring 4 runs on a couple of fielding gaffes by the Tartars and never looked back.

FC's Garrett Molnar started on the bump going 4 innings with 2 earned runs, on 6 hits, with a strikeout. Chris Sanchez ball-hawked the win coming in for the fifth inning and threw 1.2 innings with 1 earned run on 3 hits. Jacob Manzur kept the Tartars at bay throwing 3.1 innings with only 2 hits against, no runs, and 3 strikeouts.

The bats were alive and well for the Hornets as they racked up 16 hits with many players having a multi-hit day, including Thomas Delgadillo (4-5, 3 runs, 1 RBI), Chase Kerr (3-4, 2 runs), Todd Yost (3-5, 1 run, 4 RBI), Jake Anderson (3-3, 2 runs, 1 RBI), and John Zanze (2-4, 2 runs, 2 RBI).

Up Next: The Hornets (13-20 overall, 2-13 OEC) will play at LA Pierce College today at 2:00 pm.
