SUN DAMAGED AT HOME VS. CERRITOS 46-30

SUN DAMAGED AT HOME VS. CERRITOS 46-30: The game began with a bang as the Cerritos Falcons scored on a 75-yard TD pass (Fennell to Carrigan) on the very first play from scrimmage (PAT blocked by Ahmad Muse).

The Falcons struck in the air again with 5:44 left in the 1st quarter (Fennell to Abeyta) to go up 14-0 (2 point conversion good - Fennell pass to Manning).

The Hornets played flat until their first score with 5:07 in the 2nd quarter on a 5-yard pass from QB Conor Bednarski to TE Kishon Sanders. FC scored again quickly on a Jamison Sterns 23-yard pounding run after the pass from Bednarski with 52 seconds left in the 1st half.

With the score tied 14-14 at the start of the second half, the ball game swayed in the Falcon's favor as their running game took over. RB Dona Livingston scored from 4-yards out at the 10:44 mark. The point after was blocked by Fullerton DT Melvin Lewis, picked up, and ran back for 2 points by Najee James for a 20-16 Cerritos lead. Cerritos' Fennell hit pay-dirt on a 31-yard strike to Manning at 7:04 in the 3rd quarter. The Hornets fake field goal caught the Falcons off guard when punter Nick O'Toole threw up a 27-yard pass to WR Ryan Longoria keeping FC in the game 27-23 (3:44 3rd quarter). Falcon RB Dominique Smalls' 8-yard run hushed the Hornet crowd to end the 3rd quarter.

Cerritos added to the lead in the 4th quarter on an 18-yard strike from Fennell to Abeyta (11:12). FC scored one last time on a 12-yard pass from Bednarski to Sanders (9:26). The Falcons slammed any hopes of a Hornet miracle on a 4-yard run by Fennell.

Cerritos out-gained Fullerton on the ground 259 to 102 (3 rushing TD to 0). In the air, the Falcons topped the Hornets 272-227 (4-4 passing TDs
