SCHOLAR-ATHLETE HONORS

SCHOLAR-ATHLETE HONORS: Seven Fullerton College Hornet football players were selected to the Southern California Football Association (SCFA) 2012 All-Scholar-Athlete Team.

FC quarterback Conor Bednarski was one of only three players in Southern California to meet the scholar-athlete's highest honor by scoring a perfect 4.0 grade point average. Bednarski ended his Hornet football career as one of the college's all-time passers, leading his team to a bowl victory in the Western State Football Championship. He recently received an athletic scholarship to Stony Brook University and is vying for the Seawolve's starting quarterback position entering the 2013 season.

Other Hornets who demonstrated outstanding academic performance included Tim Hernandez (LS), Moses Peralta (OL), Cody Clay (OT), Jordan Scanlon (C), Jesse Aguilar (K) and Ervin Anumgba (WR).

Eligibility for the SCFA All-Scholar Athletic Team student-athletes are required to participate as an active member of an SCFA football team with two seasons of participation at the collegiate level, successfully complete a minimum 36 units (27 of which had to be in academic non-PE or sport activity courses), and achieve a minimum 3.0 (B) grade point average.

Congratulations to all of our Hornet scholar-athletes for their outstanding performance!
