FOOTBALL: HORNET SIGNING DAY

FOOTBALL: HORNET SIGNING DAY

Signing day began roughly 24 hours ago with three FC Footballers signing deals with four-year colleges. Tight End Tim Holt inked with UNLV, Safety Tim Roberts to Buffalo, and Quarterback Trey Tinsley signed with Eastern Illinois.

A sophomore who played in all 22 games in two seasons, Holt caught a total of 45 passes for 580 yards with 3 touchdowns. He was a two-time All-Conference selection for both season played at Fullerton. The Rebels will be getting a strong durable tight end who has great hands and can run after the catch.

A sophomore, Roberts played two seasons for the Hornets (21 games played) accumulating 91 total tackles, 8 breakups, and 6 interceptions. He was an All-Conference selection is 2014. Tim's 2015 campaign was plagued with a few minor injuries. Now that he is 100%, the sky is the limit for this hard-hitting safety.

Tinsley is the only true freshman to play under Head Coach Tim Byrnes, and he did not disappoint this past season throwing for 2,182 total yards, with 13 TDs, and only 6 interceptions. Trey played in ten out of eleven games for the Hornets with a passing percent of 61.3. The All-Conference QB also added 3 rushing touchdowns. The Panthers are getting a savvy quarterback who can toss the ball down the field with accuracy.

Many other Hornets are visiting college campus all across the country so stay tuned as many more FC players will be signing in the coming weeks.
