FOOTBALL: MATTHEWS AN ALL-AMERICAN

Hornet offensive tackle Breontae Matthews was honored this week being named first team on 2015 CCCFCA All-America Team. Holt and Cletcher named All-State.

At 6-6 three hundred and twenty pounds, the sophomore from Washington DC started two seasons without missing a single game for Fullerton.

"Breontae is not only an incredible talent, but he is also well-liked on the campus. He is always willing to lend a hand whether it's working the gate at a baseball game or helping out with our Alumni events. It's been an honor coaching him", Head Coach Tim Byrnes.

Matthews will play Division I football in the fall of 2016 and is currently weighing his options on where he will sign. Offers have come from Iowa State, UNLV, Arizona State, East Carolina, and UAB.

Matthews also made the All-State Region III team along with Hornet tight end Tim Holt, who just signed with UNLV. Thomas Cletcher was also a selection on the defensive side.  Cletcher will make his decision soon.
