FOOTBALL: TWO HORNET FRESHMEN INK DEALS
FC linebacker Thomas Cletcher has decided to sign with Baylor and center Jack White will play for Indiana State next season.
A 1st Team All-State selection, Cletcher led the team in tackles with 70 in 10 games played last season. He contributed 6.5 sacks, 2 fumble recoveries, and had 2 breakups.
Center Jack White manned an offensive line that scored 29.7 points a game, averaged 239.4 passing yards a game, and averaged 144.3 rushing yards per game during the 2015 season. He also helped the Hornets to the Western State Bowl.
"Both Thomas and Jack are excellent players and were a big part of our success last season. Being freshman, we are really going to miss those guys as they brought so much to our team. As a coach at the community college level, it is important for me to move these guys on to the next level and see them have success on and off the field. I'm proud of their accomplishments and I expect big things from them in the future", Hornet Head Coach Tim Byrnes.
