MEN'S BASKETBALL: EYMAN COMMITS TO PORTLAND STATE

After an outstanding freshman season with the Hornets, Jacob Eyman will move on to the four-year level after signing a scholarship with Portland State University.

A 2nd Team All-Orange Empire Conference player, Eyman helped Fullerton College to a 22-6 overall record and a playoff bid. A talented center with strong athletic skills, Jacob averaged 11 points a game, led the team in rebounds with 6 per game, and also led the way with 1.9 blocks per game. In one game against San Diego Mesa, he racked up 7 blocks. The FC record for blocks in a game is 9 set by Marcus Austin during the 1994-95 season vs. Riverside City. Out of 28 games played, Eyman had 19 games where scored in double-digits.

"A year ago, we beat a lot of schools that were trying to get Jacob, because we told him we would help him do from an academic and athletic standpoint. We told him the outcome would be all about his desire to work and accomplish his dreams. His commitment to Portland State is a culmination of countless hours on the court, in the classroom, and in the weight room. I'm happy for Jacob and his family. They are Hornets through and through, and I'm happy excited for the next chapter at Portland State. Coach Peery will enjoy coaching Jacob on a daily basis, and he will contribute to a lot of wins for the Vikings", Hornet Head Coach Perry Webster.
