MEN'S SOCCER: HORNETS OUTLAST DONS
In a key Orange Empire Conference match-up, the #11 Hornets held on for a 3-2 win at #10 Santa Ana College on Tuesday.
Fullerton took a 1-0 lead in the 37th minute of the game on a solo shot by Eduin Munguia.
The Dons quickly answered back two minutes later when Matheus Silva knocked in a solo shot of his own.
Fullerton went up 2-1 thanks to a solo shot by Steven Garcia in the 59th minute with the assist coming from Wade Hoban.
FC added to their lead in the 81st minute when Leonardo Paredes kicked the ball into the back of the net.
Santa Ana tried to come back in the 83rd minute on a unassisted shot by Oscar Navarro, but the Hornet defense held strong for the win.
FC goalie Julian Ochoa played well holding the Dons to 2 goals with 2 saves.
Up Next: The Hornets (8-1-1, 4-1) will hit the road in a non-conference game against LA Harbor College this Friday, September 30th at 2:00 pm.
