After falling in the season opener to Chaffey last Friday, the Hornets hit the road to take on College of the Canyons Tuesday night managing a 1-0 shutout over the Cougars.
The game was scoreless though the first half of play. The game's lone goal came in the 55th minute on a shot by Miles Metoyer with the assist coming from Cesar Coronado.
The FC defense was stellar on the night with goalie Silvestre Puebla holding down his first shutout of the season. Puebla had 2 saves on the night.
Up Next: The Hornets (1-1 overall) will play in the Mt SAC Tournament this weekend. They open with Rio Hondo College this Friday (Sep. 1) at 5:00 pm, and then they play Mt. SAC on Sunday at 7:00 pm.
