MEN'S SOCCER: BACK-TO-BACK TIES

The Hornets played at Orange Empire Conference rival Golden West College on Tuesday and finished in a 1-1 tie.

It was the second consecutive game where a Fullerton conference game ended in a tie. Last Friday Cypress hosted the Hornets and that ended in a 1-1 stalemate.

Tuesday's game saw Golden West taking a 1-0 lead into halftime, but the Hornets answered the call in the 65th minute when Marco Polo found Ryan Meinardus for the final goal of the day.

FC featured three goalies in Andres Ramirez (45 minutes/5 saves/1 goal against) Anthony Rodriguez (30 minutes / 3 saves), and Kevan Gonzalez (15 minutes / 2 saves).

Up Next: Fullerton (7-4-4 overall, 3-1-2 conference) is now tied for first place in the Orange Empire Conference with their next opponent Orange Coast College (3-1-2) after the Pirates fell to 1-0 Santa Ana College on Tuesday. The big match for conference supremacy will take place at Fullerton College this Friday, October 25th at 3:00 pm. Come out and support your Hornets for this one as it promises to be a great match!
