MEN'S TRACK & FIELD: THE OEC CHAMPIONSHIPS

Six men will move on to the Southern California Regional Prelims at San Diego Mesa College after some strong performances at the Orange Empire Conference Championships.

The 4x100m relay team of Vance Chavez, Raymond Gomez-Garcia, Makyi Mcintire, and Jonathan Smith started the day off right, qualifying for the regional.

Mcintire then went on to set a personal best in the 100m, finishing 3rd in 10.78 seconds. He also qualified in the 200m, running 21.84 seconds.

Teammate Jonathan Smith finished 5th in 11.06 seconds and will also move on.

Mark Fernando qualified in the 110mHH, running 16.22 seconds and Will Mcteggart rounded out the qualifiers with a 2nd place finish in the Long Jump.

Up Next: The SoCal Regional Championships will be on Saturday, May 5th. Field Events start at 9:00 am. Track Events start at noon.
