BOUNCE IN THEIR STEP: Hornets run with a sting at the Mt. SAC Invitational on Friday.

It was a perfect day to run as the weather was cool and the sun was bright.

The women finished 8th out of 23 teams with 239 points. Maegan Garritson (FR) was the ladies number one runner coming in 4th out of 200 runners with a time of 18:46. "The ladies ran strong throughout the whole race" said Coach Bevec. "This was the race we needed to get ready before conference championships".

The Hornet men had an equally satisfying race finishing 11th out of 20 teams with 286 points. Julio Gonzalez (SO) ran his best time of the season 21:35 and stayed in front of the pack and ran strong for a 14th overall finish out of 207 runners. "The men ran as a tighter group and are showing their talent as a team" said Bevec. "We are on our way of developing something big for the championships".
