WOMEN'S BASKETBALL: ALL-CONFERENCE & STATE

Tristian Johns, Fia Tailele-Latu, and Moriah Serrano were all named to the All-Orange Empire Conference team. Johns also got the nod to the All-State squad. 

A sophomore guard/forward, Tristian Johns can slash inside or pull up for a mid-range jumper and make it look easy. Johns was second among coaches voting players onto the 1st Team All-Conference. She was also selected 3rd Team All-State. Tristian averaged 16.8 points a game and 6.2 rebounds per game. Johns was a 2nd team All-OEC selection for the 2016-17 season. She averaged 12.7 ppg. and 5.7 rpg.

Earning 2nd Team All-Conference honors were freshman Moriah Serrano and sophomore Fia Tailele-Latu. A talented shot creator, Serrano averaged 12.3 points per game, 3.2 rebounds, and2.8 assists. A skilled guard Tailele-Latu served as the Hornet's captain averaging  7.8 ppg., 6.5 rpg., and 4.4 apg. 

The Lady Hornets had a successful season under Head Coach Marcia Foster going 18-10 overall, while placing fourth in the Orange Empire Conference with a very respectable record of 10-4.
