W. BASKETBALL: JONES ACCEPTS SCHOLARSHIP TO MAINE
Sophomore guard Hannah Jones will be studying and playing for the University of Maine at Fort Kent this fall after accepting a scholarship from the Bengals.
A feisty guard with great vision and the ability to slash into the paint, Jones averaged 10.3 ppg., 1.8 apg., and 6.5 rpg. in 18 games this past season. During her freshman year of 2018-19, Hannah scored 8.6 ppg., dished out 1.7 apg., and brought down 4.9 rpg.
A two-year starter for the Hornets, Jones was a 1st Team All-Orange Empire Conference selection this past season.
"I am proud of the way Hannah has worked in order to have this opportunity to continue her career. The University of Maine at Fort Kent is getting a tough, First Team All-Conference guard, who loves the game, and is only going to get better. We wish her the best", Hornet Head Coach Marcia Foster.
