WOMEN'S SOCCER: MOVING UP

WOMEN'S SOCCER: MOVING UP

The Lady Hornets are now in second place in the Orange Empire Conference after a 1-0 win at Orange Coast College on Tuesday afternoon.

Fullerton now sits in second place behind undefeated Santiago Canyon College with an OEC record of 6-2-2 and an overall record of 9-3-2. Golden West College (a team FC beat last week 1-0) is right in third with a conference record of 6-2-1 and an overall record that matches the Hornets.

One goal was all it took for Fullerton to lock down the win, and it came early in the game at the 5-minute mark. Brianna Remedios fed Alyssa Madrigal the ball and she went on to score.

The Hornet defense played hard and fast holding the Pirates scoreless for the win. Goalie Savannah Dyer earned her third shutout win with 6 saves on the day.

Up Next: Fullerton (9-3-2 overall, 6-2-2 OEC) will hit the road again on Friday, October 19th when they play at Santa Ana College. Game time is at 3:00 pm.
