WOMEN'S GOLF: FC SWINGS INTO ACTION
With six first-year players gaining valuable experience at the college level, the FC women's golf team has played in two Orange Empire Conference tournament so far this year.
In team competition the Lady Hornets placed 5th overall in the season opening tournament hosted by Orange Coast College. They then improved to a 4th place finish that the team hosted at Diamond Bar Golf Course.
"We're off to a bit of a slow start, but we are definitely showing improvement as a team in many areas", according to Head Coach John Winek.
Individually, freshman Brooke Barker is ranked fourth overall in the Orange Empire Conference followed closely by Gwendelyn Bates in 5th. Rounding out the roster is Alexandra Rooney, Lili Manurung, Mairiane Silva, and Mandy Arriola.
Up Next: The Lady Hornets will play again on Wednesday, October 12th at the Alta Vista Country Club at noon hosted by Fullerton College.
