Scott Giles was hired at Fullerton College in the fall of 2002 as the head coach of the women's tennis team and as the strength and conditioning coach for all of the Hornet athletic teams.

In 2009, Giles guided his team to the state playoffs and was selected by the Fullerton College Athletic Department as the "Coach of the Year". Scott led the Hornets to back-to-back state titles in 2013 and 2014. Giles' players have had success off the court as most of his players have gone on to receive four-year degrees.

Scott became the head coach of the Fullerton men's soccer program from 2003 to 2007 where he led his team to a state final four appearance. He was also the Orange Empire Conference soccer rep for five years.

As an instructor at Fullerton College, Scott taught a wide variety of Physical Education classes and has served on various campus committees. He has served on the curriculum committee and faculty senate.

Scott became the Fall Assistant Athletic Director at Fullerton in 2008 and most recently was hired for his leadership skills on full time basis.

Prior to his days at Fullerton, Scott was a standout scholar athlete at Snow Junior College (Ephraim, UT). In 1985 he played football on an undefeated national championship team. Scott also played for Snow in 1989 and was selected to the All-Conference team.

From 1990 to 1991, Scott was an All-Conference football player for Brigham Young University where he helped his team to two WAC conference championships. He was also an All-WAC Scholar Athlete. After his playing days at BYU, Scott signed as a free agent for the Houston Oilers in 1992.

A recipient of the NCAA post graduate scholarship, Scott moved on to become a graduate assistant for the BYU football program from 1993 to 1994 working under head coach LaVell Edwards and offensive coordinator Norm Chow

Scott began his coaching career at Eastern Arizona College as the defensive coordinator for the football team in 1995. In 1998, he took over the program as the head coach where he helped place multiple players into 4-year colleges and had many All-Americans. While at Eastern Arizona, Scott also helped create curriculum and was the Assistant Director of the Wellness program.
