The OEC Championships were a fantastic showing for the FC women's track team this past Saturday as the Hornets qualified for the 3C2A Southern California Championship Prelims.
The FC women's track & field team had great success the last two weekends placing 3rd overall at the Orange Empire Conference Championships (60 points) at Riverside City College, while many Hornets achieved goals at the Southern California Prelims held at Cerritos College.
Hosted by Riverside City College, the OEC Invite posted seven personal records for the Hornets last Friday afternoon.
Earning 79 total team points, the Hornets finished second overall at the Ron Allice Open last Friday. The team is showing that its off-season training has prepared them very well for a successful season ahead.
It was a busy year filled with many individual accomplishments and team successes as the Fullerton College Athletics Department welcomed student-athletes, parents, faculty, and administration into the Hornets Nest on Thursday afternoon for the 24th Academic Athletic Awards honoring excellence in academics and athletic achievement.
The SoCal Regional Prelims were held at San Diego Mesa College last Friday with great results.
